Burke Brimmer

Burke joined Mad Horse Theatre as a company member in 2008. He first became involved with acting as a student at the University of Southern Maine, where he acted in Antigone, La Ronde, Purgatory, As Is, and As You Like It.  A few years later he was performing in productions with the Children’s Theatre of Maine, where he was featured in Stuart Little (both in theater and touring productions), The Crucible, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Romeo and Juliet. Burke was cast as Malcolm in the Stage at Spring Point’s inaugural production of Macbeth. He first performed with Mad Horse as a guest artist in The Bacchae, Drunks, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, A Day in the Death of Joe Egg and Of Mice and Men.  After joining Mad Horse, Burke was seen in The Children’s Hour, The Actor’s Nightmare, Crazy Eights, Baby Food, That Other Person, The Dresser, The Maiden’s Prayer, The Normal Heart, Midge’s Section (Sure Thing), The Late Henry Moss, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Becky Shaw, November, Titus Andronicus, The School for Lies, Vigils, A View from the Bridge, Kimberly Akimbo, Lysistrata, Trevor, Stupid F**king Bird, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot.  Additionally, Burke has performed in a few local and nationally seen film and television productions, and lent his voice to a few as well.
